Home Environmental Health and Safety Assessment Tool

Image
M1.5   Environmental Health Home Assessment I found that there are many environmental risk in my home that I had never once thought about being harmful. I did not know that something so commonly used like an air freshener can be considered an environmental risk. This made me think about what I am exposing my children to and how I need to take precaution when buying certain chemicals. The reason why it was asked about the time that the home was built is because before 1978 lead was used to maintain a home in order to prevent chipping or paint peeling. It is important to know whether someone is living in a basement because they can be exposed to mold and radon gas that will eventually cause lung problems in the future. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to prevent environmental health risk.
